  • Easter Assembly 2019 - Our Easter Assembly was a great success. All departments contributed; our Early Years and Primary department sang and performed to “Dig my Garden” and “Celebrate”, our Secondary department sang and performed to “Shine” and our Sixth Form department held an Easter Bonnet Parade. A great time was had by all!
  • UNICEF Silver Award - We are very excited to announce that we have achieved the second stage of Unicef’s Rights Respecting Schools Award. We are now Silver: Rights Aware! Unicef came to visit school last week and were very impressed with our pupils and how staff help them to recognise and enjoy all of their rights here at school. […]
  • Visit from local author Salma Zaman - We were lucky to have local author Salma Zaman in school as part of the Huddersfield Literature Festival. She shared her story of Greedy Gertie with us and led us in Bollywood dance. Here we are enjoying her story.
  • Joint MAT Teacher Training - On Friday 15th March 2019 all Teachers from the Interaction and Communication Academy Trust held a joint training day at High Park School where they looked at all aspects of moderation.
  • Fruit Week March 2019 - Many thanks to the families who were able to join us for the School Council’s ‘Family Fruit Morning’ last week. It was lovely to see so many of you sharing fruit with your children. Thank you too for your generosity – we raised £91 towards our new minibus!

  • GOLD Catering Standards Certificate - Castle Hill School has been awarded the ‘Kirklees Gold Catering Standards Certificate’. This is great recognition for Jeanine and her Catering Team, Great work!
  • Shabang Art Project - We completed a project with Shabang to make new banners for our school hall. Russ and Kim worked with our students and made bricks for the castle, grass for the hill and diamonds that shine.   • Boccia Tournament - Last week our 6th form leadership team went to Newsome High school for a mainstream Boccia tournament, however this was not to compete, they were there to setup and help referee!
