Sixth Form Trip to Calvert Trust

Some of our Sixth Formers went on a residential visit to The Calvert Trust in the Lake District. We had a fantastic time exploring the grounds, canoeing on Bassenthwaite Lake, climbing up rocks, swimming in a heated pool overlooking the lake and toasting marshmellows in a bushcraft session.

All of our pupils were excellent ambassadors for the school and got stuck in to all of the activities. The staff felt very proud of them.

‘Fruit Cart’ Week 12-16 February 2018

As part of our bid for external validation of our Healthy Schools Award, the School Council planned and organised a very successful week of fruit eating and investigating! We also held a well-attended Parents’ and Carers’ Fruit Morning with a Valentine’s Day theme.

Many thanks to Kirklees Council for awarding us a grant of £50 through their Local Democracy Week; and Asda at Aspley, Huddersfield, Trevor Hinchliffe at First Direct Naturally Ltd, St James’s Market, Bradford, and some of our parents for their kind donations of fruit.

Thanks also to our sixth form students for purchasing the fruit, Secondary 2 pupils for making table decorations, and Primary 6 pupils for delivering the fruit to classes each morning!

Easter Assembly 2018

Our Easter Assembly was a great success.
Please visit the gallery section (click here) to see photos from the day.
Our parents also joined us afterwards to share our Easter cakes and biscuits.

Peter Pan

Some of our pupils had the opportunity to watch a production of ‘Peter Pan’ by M+M Productions. This was enjoyed by all.
