Silver Schools Game Mark

Thanks to everyone’s hard work and commitment we have achieved the silver School Games mark for the fifth year in a row. This is recognition for all that has happened in Castle Hill School over the last academic year that involves getting our students active, from the fabulous physical activity sessions we run in class to the various trips to sporting events, lunchtime groups and afterschool clubs. Rest assured we have another busy year planned with lots of exciting ways of giving our students the opportunity to be active.

Kirklees Council publishes results of SEND High Needs Review

In 2017, all Local Authorities were asked to carry out a review of provision for children and young people with complex Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) in their local area.
The review looked at these main areas:

  • Numbers and ages of children and young people in Kirklees with complex special needs, what their needs are and how this might change in the future
  • What is currently provided in Kirklees and how effective it is, by listening to feedback from parents and young people, providers and people we work with, to see where improvements could be made

Kirklees Council have now published a summary of the review and outcomes.
You can read this by clicking here or visiting the Kirklees Council website here
