Our moderation reports allow use to identify focused areas for development on an ongoing basis.
Why moderate?
Our moderation processes support colleagues in implementing target setting and assessment systems effectively and with parity. This process ensures a uniformity of understanding and application. This in turn helps to ensure the production of valid assessment outcomes.
Target setting moderation includes:
-
MAPP(Mapping and assessing pupil progress)/PIP(Progress in Provision) target validity and inclusion of Engagement model language
-
EHCP-MAPP-PIP tracking
-
The application of Castle Hill Pathways
-
Birth to 5 Matters tracking
Assessment system moderation includes:
-
Pre-Key Stage Standards. Please access the moderated work below for level examples
-
Castle Hill School Levels. Please access the moderated work below for level examples
-
Birth to 5 Matters
Additionally, we moderate our Mastery statements which help to drive subject area development.

Castle Hill School Level Moderation
CHS levels are based on the old P Scales, therefore previously moderated P level work examples still stand.
The moderated work below has been internally and where possible, externally moderated.
Castle Hill School would like to thank everyone that has participated in the moderation process.
Professionals from local schools and other educational settings are encouraged to attend.
