Kirklees flame

This is an inclusive sports event and is being held on Thursday 28th July in Crows Nest Park in Dewsbury.  Why not celebrate this Olympic and Paralympic year and try something new from Kirklees’ range of free sports and activities for all ages and abilities.   There will be information about how to access inclusive sports more regularly too:

Accreditation 2016

On Wednesday 13th July we enjoyed our Certification Assembly. Many parents, carers and friends came along to help celebrate our students’ achievements.

Our students were awarded Accreditation and Qualifications from the AQA Unit Award Scheme, ASDAN Personal Progress Qualification, ASDAN Personal and Social Development Qualification and OCR Functional Skills Qualification.

We are immensely proud of them all!

We would also like to thank our governor representatives Kavita Bhasin and Tim Wilkes for presenting the certificates.

HLTA Award

Tracey Donegan, one of our Higher Level Teaching Assistants was nominated for the ‘Outstanding HLTA of the Year for the Yorkshire and Humber Region 2016’. Tracey attended the award ceremony at Headingly Stadium on the evening of the 5th July with Antony Morris (HLTA) and Steve Perren (Head of School). During the ceremony Tracey was awarded runner up status, of which we are very proud! Well done Tracey!
